The Sybir Memorial Run will be held for the sixth time in Białystok, and for the second time — in Wrocław.
The race in Białystok will take place on February 10, 2024 in the Turczyński Forest. In Wrocław, we will run in the Osobowicki Forest a week later, on February 17, 2024.
You can register for the Run on the website www.biegpamiecisybiru.pl/rejestracja.
We also offer a virtual run that you can join between February 10 and 29, 2024. This formula allows you to participate in the Sybir Memorial Run regardless of where you are in the world. All you need to do is register and run or walk at least 5 km to have your kilometers added to the total amount. Participants of the virtual run also receive a starting number and a commemorative medal.
The virtual edition of the Run gathers runners from all over the world every year. It is also a perfect solution for people with a weaker condition who do not feel able to run the distance and prefer to cover it at their own pace and in a place of their choice.
As every year, the on-site running route will feature atmospheric arrangements that are so appreciated and praised by the participants of the events every year.
We are also preparing a unique — as always — medal that will present another exhibit from the collection of the Sybir Memorial Museum. At the finish line you will be able to engrave your name and surname on it.
We strongly encourage you to take part in the Run for a Sybirak campaign by signing up for an on-site or virtual run. In the registration form, you can provide the personal details of the Sybirak (or the Siberian family) for whom you will run. It may be someone close to you, a friend or a person selected from our list.
The selected name and surname of the Sybirak will appear on your starting number. More information about the campaign can be found at www.biegpamiecisybiru.pl/biegne-dla-sybiraka.
Every year, many descendants of Sybiraks take advantage of this opportunity, running to pay respect and bring joy to their grandfathers and grandmothers, great-grandmothers and great-grandparents, or to honor the memory of those who have already passed away.
You can read the stories of Siberian families on the website: https://biegpamiecisybiru.pl/historie-sybirakow/
See you on the route!
