Making requests for accessibility

Everyone has the right to apply to the Sybir Memorial Museum, hereinafter referred to as the “Museum”, with a request to ensure digital accessibility on the terms set out in the law by submitting an appropriate application, which should include:

  • name and surname of the applicant,
  • contact details of the applicant,
  • indication of the website or element of the website or mobile application or element of the Museum’s mobile application that are to be available digitally,
  • indication of the method of contact with the applicant,
  • an indication of the preferred accessibility method, if applicable.

Submitting complaints about the lack of accessibility

In the event of refusal to ensure the digital accessibility of the website, mobile application or the indicated element of the Museum’s website or mobile application indicated in the applicant’s application, or in the event of refusal to use an alternative method of access by the person submitting the application referred to above, that person has the right to submit a complaint to the Museum regarding ensuring the digital accessibility of the website, mobile application or element of the website or mobile application.

You can visit the permanent exhibition on your own using an audioguide, using the device and headphones you can get acquainted with the substantive content of the exhibition. Audioguides have a pre-loaded soundtrack with a recorded lector in various languages: Polish, English, Russian, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Spanish, Italian, German, French
As well as :

  • path with audio description for the blind and visually impaired
  • a path for the deaf and hard of hearing with a sign language teacher

Architectual accessibility

The Sybir Memorial Museum, Węglowa 1, 15-121 Białystok

The functional structure of the entire complex of the Sybir Memorial Museum in Białystok was built on the main building.

Access to all floors is possible thanks to passenger lifts with a cabin adapted to transport wheelchairs.

Toilets for the disabled are located on all floors accessible to visitors.

In front of the building there are designated parking spaces for disabled guests.

The building and all its exhibition rooms are open to the public with assistance and guide dogs.
