– Christmas is a special time when we especially want to emphasize our bond with the Sybiraks and remind how much we respect them – says the director of the Sybir Memorial Museum, Professor Wojciech Śleszyński.
The presents were prepared with commitment by the employees of the Museum. Gadgets of the Sybir Memorial Museum, gifts from the City of Białystok, as well as sweets and preserves, and even natural soaps went to the boxes – thanks to the generosity of this year’s sponsors:
The “AniPasje” gingerbread manufactory donated handmade, decorated gingerbread; we received funds from the “Arhelan” Foundation for the purchase of tea, and chocolate and preserves from the “Chorten” Group; the peanut butter manufacturer “Maslove” donated its products; the “Cztery Szpaki” soap manufacturer donated natural soaps.

Thanks to successful cooperation, we managed to prepare and send 300 parcels! They have already been sent to Sybiraks in Bialystok and Podlasie towns where branches of the Sybiraks’ Association operate, which supported the Museum in distributing parcels in the region. – We try to reach all Podlaskie Siberian men and women whom we know about – says the director of the Museum, professor Wojciech Śleszyński.
The Sybir Memorial Museum would like to thank everyone involved in this year’s Gift for the Sybirak campaign and wish a merry Christmas and a full of health and peace new year 2023!
