On Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 12 o’clock the promotion of the latest issue of our scientific magazine “Biuletyn Historii Pogranicza” (“Borderland History Bulletin”) will take place. The 22nd issue will be devoted to the memory of World War II in Central and Eastern Europe. How the events of 1939-1945 are remembered and presented in Poland, Belarus and Russia will be discussed by the participants of the panel “One war — different memory”. Free admission!

The next week, on Thursday, October 13 at 6.00 p.m., a story about journeys — also those into other dimensions of consciousness — will flow to the sound of drums at the meeting entitled “Drum in the heart of the shaman” in our museum. Reporter and traveler Jacek Hugo-Bader, the author of the book entitled “Shamanic Disease”, will talk about his travels around Siberia and meetings with local shamans. The meeting will be accompanied by a musical performance. Ticketed admission (regular ticket: 10 PLN, reduced ticket: 5 PLN).

One day later, on Friday, October 14 at 5.00 p.m. there will be another meeting as part of the “Siberian Spirit” series, this time entitled “Another World of Siberia”. Krzysztof Czyżewski’s guest will be professor Włodzimierz Bolecki, literary historian and theorist, expert in the work of Gustaw Herling-Grudziński. Free admission!

We will end October with a musical accent. On Sunday, October 30, we would like to invite you to the First Siberian Ambient Salon, during which DTEKK will perform. It is a meeting with romantic music in the space of our permanent exhibition. Near the ‘Ice People’ sculpture, you will be able to immerse yourself in unusual sounds and let your imagination run wild. Ticketed admission (regular ticket: 10 PLN, reduced ticket: 5 PLN).
