On the eve of the opening ceremony of the Museum, well-known and recognized guests from Poland, Lithuania and Italy will try to diagnose the state of knowledge and awareness of both societies and the European and world elites about the communist crimes.
These issues will be discussed by eminent historians and literary scholars: Arunas Bubnys, PhD, director of the Center for the Study of Genocide and Resistance of the Residents of Lithuania, Krystyna Jaworska, PhD, lecturer of Polish literature at the University of Turin and Wojciech Śleszyński, PhD, director of the Sybir Memorial Museum.
The discussion will be moderated by Krzysztof Czyżewski, director of the “Borderland of Arts, Cultures and Nations” Center in Sejny, lecturer at Rutgers University and the University of Bologna.
