Our guest is a veteran of extreme challenges: a ten-time participant in the Dakar Rally, a member of the Polish team in the legendary 1996 Camel Trophy, and the winner of more than 100 races around the world, including the Silk Way Rally. For many years, he has combined his achievements on land with successes on the water, including a world record for crossing the Atlantic under sail as a member of Roman Paszke’s crew, as well as podium finishes in prestigious regattas with the R-Six Team, including the Rolex Fastnet Race.

During the upcoming event at the Sybir Memorial Museum, Jarosław Kazberuk will take the audience on a journey through the wilderness of two of the world’s most extreme regions – the Atacama Desert in Chile and the Siberian taiga. He will talk about confronting the forces of nature, scorching heat and bitter cold, as well as the psychological challenges of dealing with crises when equipment fails or human endurance reaches its limits. His stories will offer an insight into the unique demands of navigation at the farthest reaches of civilisation, while highlighting the key similarities and differences in organising expeditions to such remote corners of the world.
