Basia Młynarz’s vest - Muzeum Pamięci Sybiru

Basia was only one month old, when, together with her family she was departed on April 13, 1940 from Dobra Wolka to Airtau in Kazakhstan. Among the items, that were taken was a vest made of sheep labor and decorated with embroidery. It returned to Poland in 1946 with the owner.

“You could only take what you could hide in your hands. Mom took the sheepskin coat that I was covered with all the time, so that I would not be cold, that I would be as warm as possible”.
