Christmas is a special time when the Sybir Memorial Museum wishes to express remembrance and support for Sybiraks living in Białystok and the surrounding area. Maintaining close contact with them is extremely important to us — they are truly the heart of this place. From the very beginning, they have co-created the Museum and have actively participated in the events organised here. We are deeply grateful that they have shared their memories with us, helping to preserve history for future generations.
The “Package for a Sybirak” campaign is our way of saying thank you.
Each year, new donors join the initiative and generously support our efforts. Every parcel is more than just a collection of products — it is a heartfelt gesture that connects generations.
For the Museum staff, preparing the parcels is a harbinger of the approaching Christmas season. Donors and volunteers also take part in this initiative. The packing takes place in a warm and joyful atmosphere, filled with conversations, smiles, and a shared celebration of what truly matters.
We are grateful that, in this way, we can express our appreciation to the Sybiraks for their trust and for sharing their stories with us since the very beginning of the Museum.
