In a week, on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. a meeting with Wojciech Marciniak, PhD, Head of the Siberian Archives at the Institute of History at the Faculty of Philosophy and History of the University of Lodz will be held at the Sybir Memorial Museum.

The conversation will be about the written monography „Odzyskać nadzieję, wrócić do Ojczyzny. Związek Patriotów Polskich w Południowym Kazachstanie 1944-1946” (“Regaining Hope, Returning to Homeland. Union of Polish Patriots in South Kazakhstan 1944-1946”), that has been published by the Sybir Memorial Museum and the Publishing House of the University of Lodz. The publication was nominated for the this year’s Kazimierz Moczarski Historical Award of the Capital City of Warsaw.

During the meeting Marciniak, PhD, will present a very interesting choice of pictures and graphics made in Kazakhstan by the deported Poles.
