The Museum’s winter break offer for organized groups includes workshops and thematic paths of visiting the permanent exhibition. Classes concern topics such as the nature and culture of Siberia and its Polish researchers, life in pre-war Białystok and the fate of people deported to the East, and finally – the secrets of the museum and the work of museum staff.

The Sybir Memorial Museum also offers family workshops titled “Polish children in Japan”. Participants of the classes will learn the history of Polish children rescued from Siberia a hundred years ago by the Japanese government, and will also decorate a souvenir bag using the Japanese hapa zome technique.

The first workshop with this title at the Sybir Memorial Museum was attended by the Japanese Ambassador to Poland. His visit was related to the promotion of book by Sylwia Szarejko, PhD about the rescue of Polish children from Siberia. His Excellency was delighted with the proposal of our educators and the involvement of the young participants.

We invite families with children from I-VI grades to participation.
Family workshops will take place on January 23, 24, 30 and 31 from 12.45 to 1.45 p.m.
The cost of the classes is PLN 10 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office of the Sybir Memorial Museum and on the website: bilety.sybir.bialystok.en.
