The Museum Council operates at every state and local government museum. Its task is to supervise the implementation of the museum’s statutory actiones. The Council also evaluates and gives opinions about the annual report and annual activity plan presented by the director.
The Museum Council is appointed for a four years term and is international. Its members include:

The Director of the Sybir Memorial Museum, Professor Wojciech Śleszyński, presented the action plan for 2025 to the Council, which was well-received. The Museum Council approved the financial and substantive plan and the Museum regulations. Krzysztof Truskolaski is now the Chairman of the Museum Council, and Profesor Albin Głowacki and Przemysław Tuchliński serve as the Vice-chairmen.
During the meeting, Ewelina Kamieńska, the Acting Head of the Permanent Exhibition Department, gave a presentation on events organized by the department.
