Zhandos Karinbayev is a lecturer, editor, and journalist specializing in Polish-Kazakh relations, and the co-author of the book “History of Kazakh-Polish Relations as Exemplified by Outstanding Figures of Both Nations.“
Written simultaneously in Kazakh and Polish, the book analyzes extensive archival materials in Kazakh, Russian, Polish, and English, covering the period from the first quarter of the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century. It features a total of 470 historical figures, both directly and indirectly connected to this period.
During the meeting, the author will discuss the deep-rooted ties between the two nations, offering an excellent opportunity to broaden our understanding of their shared history. The presentation will be of particular interest to researchers of Kazakh-Polish relations, specialists in Central Asian history, cultural studies scholars, and anyone interested in international relations.
The lecture will be followed by a Q&A session and open discussion.
