The World Day of the Siberians is celebrated on September 17. This is a unique moment when we want to focus attention on the characters of the Sybir Memorial Museum’s permanent exhibition – Siberian Deportees. Their fates associated with the tragic mass deportations to Siberia and other regions of the USSR, give our exhibit a broader dimension.
As part of celebrating the World Day of the Siberians, we invite you on Sunday, September 15, for a special tour entitled “I Will Tell You My Story”. Guides will lead visitors through the permanent exhibition, and an additional attraction are the prepared meetings with the Siberian deportees – witnesses of history. They will share their memories related to the displayed artifacts and tell the stories of their families. These extraordinary meetings will allow for a deeper understanding of the experiences of deportees, enriching the tour with an emotional dimension that the artifacts alone cannot convey.
