Exhibition „Sybir brought them together”

Board exhibition entitled “Sybir brought them together — Polish exiles in the USSR in 1939-1956″ presents the history of deportations to Sybir during the Soviet times. The exhibition consists of 11 boards in the format of 70 cm x 100 cm in the form of one-sided prints on a 5mm PVC board. The materials used in the exhibition come from the collections of the Sybir Memorial Museum in Bialystok and the Society of Sybiraks in Hajnówka. These are inter alia archival photos and memoirs of deportees. Each board also includes a short commentary on the content presented by carefully selected sources.

The exhibition was presented on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the first mass deportation. The authors of the exhibition are Irena Kostera and Bogusław Kosel.
