After several intensive days filled with the conference and the awards ceremony, our guests had the opportunity to take part in sightseeing tours of Podlasie, choosing either Białowieża or Supraśl. These excursions offered a chance to discover the charm of the region, experience its natural beauty and cultural richness, and build new connections in a welcoming atmosphere.

The group visiting Białowieża traveled through the picturesque Land of Open Shutters, admiring traditional wooden houses and Orthodox churches. In Białowieża, they explored the Trail of Royal Oaks and the enchanting Palace Park. A walk along the “Żebra Żubra” footbridge delighted them with stunning views. For many, it was a rare experience to stroll through one of the oldest forests in Europe, hoping to spot a bison and breathe in harmony with nature.

Meanwhile, the group exploring Supraśl visited the historic Weavers’ Houses, the Icon Museum, and the Monastery of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Mother of God, gaining insights into the rich culture and history of the Podlasie region. At the local fair, they had the opportunity to purchase souvenirs — from handmade crafts to regional delicacies. A highlight of the trip was lunch in the heart of nature, by the banks of the Supraśl River — a perfect setting for relaxation and conversation.
Following the emotional days of the conference, the sightseeing tours provided a welcome opportunity to unwind and explore the beauty of the Podlaskie Voivodeship. It was also a time for participants to engage in casual conversations and strengthen relationships in a relaxed, informal setting.
