On 4 December 2025 at 5:00 p.m., we invite you to a special event organised as part of the Art of Remembrance project. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the permanent exhibition along a specially prepared thematic route dedicated to the art created by deportees, as well as to view drawings and sketches made by them during their time on the “inhuman land,” many of which have never been displayed before. It will be a unique chance to see objects usually kept in the museum’s storage and to listen to accompanying audio recordings of testimonies by Sybiraks.

The special guest will be Juhana Moisander, a Finnish artist living and working in Karkkila, who is visiting the Sybir Memorial Museum for the second time as part of the international Art of Remembrance artistic project. During his stay, inspired by the artwork created by Sybiraks, he will continue working on his piece. It will become part of a travelling exhibition presented in several European cities in 2026.

Date: 4 December 2025, 5:00–7:00 p.m.
Venue: The Sybir Memorial Museum
Free tickets available at the museum ticket office.
