We invite you to participate in workshops led by Dr. Marcin Jarząbek and Mariusz Bieciuk from the Polish Oral History Association, which will take place on May 23, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The meeting will focus on the basics of oral history work and the creation of family memory archives. It is intended for people who want to learn how to document family histories, conduct biographical interviews, and work consciously with memory—in private, educational, or artistic contexts.

Participants will learn practical aspects of conducting oral history interviews, including:
- preparing for conversations and formulating questions,
- recording techniques and archiving materials,
- ethical principles of working with personal memories,
- creating and organizing home archives,
- interpreting witnesses’ testimonies, including understanding both their strengths and limitations.
The workshops will have an interactive format. Instead of a traditional lecture, participants will engage in dialogue, exchange experiences, and jointly analyze examples.
The skills acquired during the workshop may prove useful in educational, research, and artistic projects, as well as in everyday efforts to preserve the memory of loved ones.
