The session was chaired by Krzysztof Truskolaski, Chair of the Council. The meeting was attended by Vice-Chair Przemysław Tuchliński, Arūnas Bubnys, PhD, Prof. Nikolai Ivanov, Edyta Marzena Mozyrska, Rafał Rudnicki, Robert Jerzy Sadowski and Waldemar Franciszek Wilczewski, PhD, as well as Kordian Borejko and Pietro Rogacień, who joined remotely.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of Culture Marek Krawczyk, who toured the Museum’s permanent exhibition. The main item on the agenda was a presentation by the Museum’s Director, Prof. Wojciech Śleszyński, summarising the key events and achievements of 2025 and outlining the institution’s programme for 2026. The 2026 programme was positively assessed and approved by the Museum Council.

The role of the Museum Council — which operates at every state and local government museum — is to supervise the institution’s fulfilment of its duties towards its collections and the public, to review the annual activity report and to issue an opinion on the annual programme presented by the Director.
