For many years, during the Christmas season, the Sybir Memorial Museum has organised the “Package for a Sybirak” campaign. It is a way to express our remembrance, respect, and gratitude to Sybiraks from Białystok and the region — people who have co-created the Museum from its very beginning by sharing their personal stories.

This year, the packing of the parcels took place in a truly special atmosphere. Museum staff worked together to prepare the gifts, accompanied by conversations, smiles, and a strong sense of community. It was a moment filled with the spirit of the approaching Christmas season, as well as a sense of satisfaction after many months of preparation. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, this year’s parcels included Christmas mugs, natural soaps, aromatic teas and coffees, a variety of sweets, and other carefully selected treats. Dedicated volunteers, who support this initiative every year, also took part in preparing the parcels.

We are grateful that, in this way, we can at least partially express our gratitude for the trust placed in us by the Sybiraks.
