Jacek Pałkiewicz – reporter, traveler, discoverer, full member of the Royal Geographical Society in London. Born in a German labor camp. He began his traveling career as an officer on ships of the Panamanian flag of convenience (1971-1972). In 1975 he graduated from the School of Journalism in Milan and since then he worked as a journalist, among others for many years in the weekly supplement of the daily newspaper Corriere della Sera. He is the author of several books and documentary films, and publishes reports in numerous European magazines.
