The Long Night of Museums at the Sybir Memorial Museum is behind us. Both the weather and attendance were very favorable for us. 1,718 people visited the exhibition in total!

One of the first groups of visitors was greeted by the Director of the Sybir Memorial Museum himself – Professor Wojciech Śleszyński, who not only shed light on the history of the Soviet Massive Deportations but also revealed many details about the building of the Sybir Memorial Museum and the preparation of the permanent exhibition.

This year’s edition of the event at our Museum was marked by the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Monte Cassino. In addition to visiting the permanent exhibition, visitors could watch reenactment groups and historical vehicles used in the Italian campaign.

An additional event was a guided tour of the outdoor exhibition titled „Gdy maki kwitły na zboczach…” and the presentation of the latest issue of the magazine “Zesłaniec”.

We had also prepared attractions for the youngest visitors, who came in large numbers to our educational stand, where they could, among other things, make their own badges. The point where one could learn how to provide first aid was also very popular.
