More than 30 participants took part in the event, including 26 cyclists from Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and the United Kingdom. The group set off from the Museum of Occupations and Freedom Fights, following a route that included the Lithuanian Deportees Memorial, the Antanas Venclova House-Museum, the Hill of Three Crosses, and other significant memorial sites, before concluding at the Columbarium in Tuskulenai Park. Each stop along the route served as a poignant reminder of the tragic experiences of the 20th century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the final site \u2014 where Lithuanian and Polish victims of Soviet crimes rest \u2014 representatives of the Sybir Memorial Museum, the Lithuanian Genocide and Resistance Research Center, and the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia laid flowers and lit candles in tribute to all those who were murdered. This symbolic gesture marked the conclusion of the Lithuanian edition of the Peloton of Remembrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tomorrow, the Peloton of Remembrance will take place in Bia\u0142ystok, while the culmination of the entire initiative will be held on August 30 in Chi\u0219in\u0103u, Moldova.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
