The Sybir Memorial Museum took first place in the XXI edition of the competition for the Best Tourist Product of the Podlaskie Voivodeship 2024 and received the certificate from the Polish Tourism Organisation (Polska Organizacja Turstyczna – POT). During the ceremonial gala at The Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Professor Wojciech \u015aleszy\u0144ski, Director of the Sybir Memorial Museum, accompanied by the Deputy Mayor of Bia\u0142ystok, Rafa\u0142 Rudnicki, received a special certificate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I am deeply grateful for the award. This award is a proof of our appreciation for the mission of the Sybir Memorial Museum, which is becoming a natural brand of our region, a recognizable and important place. We are aware that without knowledge of history, including its difficult fragments, we will not be able to deal with the problems of the present, much less the challenges of the future. I would also like to express special thanks to the Mayor of the city of Bia\u0142ystok, Tadeusz Truskolaski, for the trust shown in us in 2017, when the Sybir Memorial Museum was established. It is thanks to the support and commitment of the city that the Museum was able to develop its mission, serving both the region and the entire Sybiraks\u2019 community. Thank you once again for this award, which is good motivation for further work,” said Professor Wojciech \u015aleszy\u0144ski, Director of the Sybir Memorial Museum during the gala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The competition for the Best Tourist Product of the Podlaskie Voivodeship 2024 is organized by the Podlasie Regional Tourism Organization (Podlaska Regionalna Organizacja Turystyczna – PROT) and aims to select the most attractive, innovative and tourist-friendly tourist products and to popularize them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sybir Memorial Museum also qualified for the national competition for the Best Tourist Product of the Polish Tourism Organization, in which the main prize will be a national promotional campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, the Sybir Memorial Museum was distinguished  and took part in Internet users’ voting for the “Best Tourist Product \u2013 Internet Users’ Certificate 2024” as one of three products distinguished by the Podlasie Regional Tourism Organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
