We are very grateful for such a large attendance at the performance  \u201cSiberian Friendship Book – exodus\u201d. The premiere was watched by more than 300 people!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The show, directed by Artur Dwulit, was created in cooperation between the Sybir Memorial Museum and artists affiliated with the  Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw Branch Campus in Bia\u0142ystok, and refers to events from the period of Soviet oppression, the formation of General W\u0142adys\u0142aw Anders’ Army and the Italian campaign. The performance is based on the musical works and memories of Feliks Konarski (alias Ref-Ren), one of the witnesses of these events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“85 years ago, on September 17, the Red Army crossed the eastern border of the Republic of Poland, which for hundreds of thousands of people marked the beginning of an extremely difficult period. Many people were deported to Siberia and Kazakhstan. Some of them managed to break out of this hell and leave the Soviet Union with the so-called Anders\u2019 Army. Today’s performance tells the story of just this path to freedom. The young girls and boys who joined the so-called Anders\u2019 Army will be told by people close in age to our heroes of 85 years ago,\u201d said Prof. Wojciech \u015aleszy\u0144ski, director of the Sybir Memorial Museum, just before the show began.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The performance \u201cSiberian Friendship Book – exodus\u201d  is one of the events included in the schedule of celebrations marking the 85th anniversary of Soviet aggression on Poland and World Sybirak Day. You can read about the other events on our website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
