We are four days away from the eighth edition of Memorial Peloton \u2013 a unique event that combines a bicycle ride through the streets of Bia\u0142ystok with a history lesson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, the 8 kilometers long route will include points that highlight the wartime history of the people of Bia\u0142ystok. The starting point will be at the square in front of the A. W\u0119gierko Dramatic Theatre in Bia\u0142ystok, with the finish line located in front of the Sybir Memorial Museum. So far, over 150 participants have already registered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I believe this is a wonderful history lesson and an opportunity to remind people of the tragic fate of Bia\u0142ystok’s residents, while also allowing them to spend time actively with their loved ones,” said Tadeusz Truskolaski, Mayor of the City of Bia\u0142ystok, during a press conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Memorial Peloton is an international initiative that will visit another country this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“On August 21, we will meet in Riga, on August 23 in Vilnius, and for the first time on September 8 in Mereni, Moldova. During the Bia\u0142ystok edition of Memorial Peloton, representatives from Lithuania and Latvia will be present and join us on the route,” said Professor Wojciech \u015aleszy\u0144ski, Director of the Sybir Memorial Museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ll see you in Bia\u0142ystok on August 25, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
