This year’s Memorial Peloton will start in front of the Aleksander W\u0119gierko Drama Theatre in Bia\u0142ystok on Saturday, August 26 at 5:00 p.m.<\/strong> After about 6 km, it will end at the Sybir Memorial Museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation in the event is free, you can join even at the last minute! <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

On the route, we will stop at various places related to the history of Bialystok during the occupation. We will reveal details in the weeks leading up to the Peloton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We invite not only cyclists, but also people on scooters, rollerblades or skateboards to participate in the ride through Bia\u0142ystok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2022, while driving through the streets of Bia\u0142ystok, we discovered places that witnessed the events that took place after the signing of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. The pact that destroyed order in Central and Eastern Europe and preceded the outbreak of World War II. Pursuant to this agreement, the two totalitarian regimes divided the territories of other independent states in the area between themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Poland, the direct consequence of the pact was the loss of independence, and for the inhabitants of the Polish Borderlands \u2014 Soviet repressions, which we show at the permanent exhibition of the Sybir Memorial Museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration for Peloton is not mandatory, you can join it spontaneously at the last minute, and even during the event! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We invite cyclists from Bia\u0142ystok, Podlasie, from all over Poland and Europe \u2014 let’s ride together in the Memorial Peloton!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
