The Statuette of the Sybir Memorial Museum’s Friend 2020

The Statuette of the Sybir Memorial Museum’s Friend was awarded by us for the second time. During this year's edition, on September 17, four people were honored. Without their work and commitment the Sybir Memorial Museum could not be created.

They are: Jolanta Hryniewicka – secretary of the Białystok Board of the Association of Sybiraks, Jan Kabac – architect, author of the project of the Sybir Memorial Museum, Marek Kułak – contract manager of the Museum construction and Przemysław Borys – construction manager.

The ceremony included a performance by excellent Białystok Chamber Choir "Cantica Cantamus" conducted by prof. Violetta Bielecka.

This year's meeting was also an opportunity to thank the builders of the Sybir Memorial Museum. The people responsible for the construction of the new museum's building were given Golden and Silver Crosses - the badges of honor of the Association os Sybiraks. The badges were personally given by Tadeusz Chwiedź - the President of the Białystok Association of Sybiraks.

Jolanta Hryniewicka - Secretary of the Białystok Board of the Association of Sybiraks

She has been active in the Association of Sybiraks since 1990. She has been the Secretary of the Acssociation of Sybiraks for 25 years. She has been a member of the Main Board of the Assoociation of Sybiraks for three terms. Honored, among others the Order of Polonia Restituta
and many other veteran decorations.

Jan Kabac - architect, author of the prohect of the Sybir Memorial Museum

A graduate of the Faculty of Architecture of the Warsaw University of Technology, he has been actively practicing designer for over 40 years. Among his projects, sacred buildings occupy an important place, e g. The Orthodox Church of the Holy Spirit in Białystok. A special position in his project achievements are the facilities for higher education, including Academic Sports Center of the Białystok University of Technology or the Faculty of Nursing and Healthcare at the Medical University of Białystok.

Marek Kułak - contract manager of the Sybir Memorial Museum's construction

A graduate of the Białystok University of Technology. For 20 years he has been associated with construction as a construction and contract manager. The projects on which he worked include: the Court and the District Prosecutor's Office in Białystok, the Faculty of Nursing of the Medical University in Białystok, or the reconstruction of the University Teaching Hospital in Białystok.

Przemysław Borys - construction manager of the Sybir Memorial Museum

A graduate of the Białystok University of Technology, since 2003 he has been associated with the construction industry. He started his professional career at ZKS Instal Białystok. At Budimex S.A. since 2011. He participated, inter alia, in the expansion and modernization of the University Teaching Hospital in Białystok.
