Unusual exhibits from the fields of Monte Cassino became a part of the Sybir Memorial Museum's collection
Ammunition box, cigarette case, helmet or magazine for the Bren hand machine gun - 19 unusual exhibits from the battlefield of Monte Cassino became a part of the Sybir Memorial Museum's collection. They were donated by The Italian Association of the Battle of Monte Cassino.
This is the final straight – construction works will be completed in the new building of the Sybir Memorial Museum soon. For this reason the team's which is why the team's activities are primarily focused on searching and completing materials that will be used on permanent exhibition, and those who are interested n will be able to watch it already in 2021.
The Sybir Memorial Museum focuses on international cooperation
From the very beginning of its activity, the Museum conducts a dialogue and cooperates with institutions dealing with the subject of exiles of Poles to Siberia, operating not only in the country but also abroad. In February this year a cooperation agreement was signed between the Sybir Memorial Museum and the Foundation of the Memorial Museum of the 2nd Polish Corps in Italy, whose president is Pietro Rogacień.
On Saturday, October 19, 2019, at the Museum's temporary seat at Sienkiewicza Street 26th, an agreement was signed between The Italian Association of the Battle of Monte Cassino and the Sybir Memorial Museum. The exhibits from the field of Monte Cassino were personally handed by the president of the Battle of Cassino Association Roberto Molle to the Director of the Sybir Memorial Museum, prof. Wojciech Śleszyński.
