Co-financing granted by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for the exhibition of the Sybir Memorial Museum

The project "Making a permanent exhibition and purchasing equipment for the needs of the Sybir Memorial Museum" received funding from the European Regional Development Fund in the amount of nearly 6.8 million.

Sybir Memorial Museum submitted an application for the competition from the Operational Program Infrastructure and Environment 2014-2020 in May this year. The project presented and justified the need to build an exhibition and purchase equipment necessary to conduct educational and cultural activities in the new headquarters at W─Öglowa Street. We were rewarded for a heavy team work on the application and a six-month expectation for the results with an envelope containing the decision of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage to grant co-financing.

Project tasks are to be carried out in 2018-2020.

A newly emerging exhibition at W─Öglowa Street will present the only collection of testimonies and unique souvenirs related to the Siberian deportees, it will also be the showpiece of the only Museum in the country devoted entirely to Siberia and migration.

We wish to express our deep gratitude to the Department of Social Communication of the Municipal Office in Bialystok for help in organizing a press conference and our friendly media for reliable arrival.
